Cambodian and Thai Troops Withdraw from the Disputed Territory

Here is another breaking news in Cambodia on Wednesday, July 18.  At the Preah Vihear temple, AP reported that Cambodia and Thailand have withdrawn their troops from a disputed border area to comply with a ruling by the International Court of Justice. Read the full article here


The Phnom Penh Post reported that the RCAF troops will be replaced by 255 police and 100 conservation Rangers, but it is not clear whether the RCAF troops will return home or serve somewhere else in the country. Read the Article here

The stand off between Cambodian and Thai troops in the disputed territory broke out in 2008. After 4 years, both troops pulled out from the disputed territory.
